UPDATE: Justin Bieber Apologizes After Abruptly Canceling Remainder of Tour

July 24, 2017

UPDATE (Tuesday morning): Justin Bieber is apologizing to fans after he abruptly canceled the remainder of his Purpose tour.

TMZ shared a paparazzi video questioning Bieber about the cancellation. The video was apparently shot Monday afternoon in Santa Monica, CA just hours after the announcement the shows were canceled.

Bieber apologized to fans who may feel "betrayed." The "Sorry" singer said he'd relax and rest after two years on the road, and he plans to ride some bikes.

ORIGINAL STORY (Monday afternoon):  Justin Bieber has canceled the remaining shows of his Purpose Tour. Variety is reporting that Bieber made the decision by himself after "much consideration."

Not much more information is available at this time.

The Purpose Tour was scheduled to make more stops in Texas, Colorado, and New Jersey over the next few weeks. Plus, there were dates scheduled in Asia soon. There have been 154 shows on the tour so far. Refunds are being made available to ticketholders of the canceled gigs.

Bieber has not commented on the cancellation. TMZ reports that Bieber's reps say the tour was canceled because of "unforeseen circumstances."
