Taylor Swift Sent Flowers to LA Police Department After Off-Duty Officer Was Injured in Vegas Shooting

October 3, 2017

Proving once again, that she is a total sweetheart, Taylor Swift reportedly sent multiple bouquets of flowers to the Los Angeles Police Department after one of their off-duty officers was shot and injured as she attended the Route 91 Harvest Festival this weekend.

The flowers were sent to the LAPD Foothill Community Police Station where the injured officer worked. An image of one of the bouquets was shared on Instagram by Kimberlee Binder, who works with injured officer at the police station.

“Talk about a class act! Taylor Swift sent multiple bouquets of flowers and plants to our station, as one of our officers was shot in Las Vegas last night. This is one of the smaller arrangements,” the LAPD Intel analyst wrote on Instagram late Monday.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that an off-duty officer was shot and injured the festival in a statement they issued today (Tuesday). The officer traveled to the festival with other LAPD colleagues.

The department said in a statement that the injured officer will make a full recovery. However, they warn that it will be a difficult road for all who were at the festival.  "It will be some time before we fully comprehend the extent of the trauma these individuals sustained both physically and emotionally," the LAPD said

Hopefully, Taylor's kind gesture brought a small sense of comfort to the police department.
