Kesha Opens Up About Friendship with Taylor Swift

Let's Just Say We Totally Want Kesha in Our Squad!

October 4, 2017

Kesha has a lot of love for her friend Taylor Swift. In fact, the "Praying" singer just gushed over the "...Ready For It?" singer in a new interview with Rolling Stone this week.

Both Kesha and Taylor sound like awesome friends to each other. Swift picks up the phone every time the 30-year-old "Tik Tok" singer calls her, according to the interview. Kesha jokes, "My mom doesn't even always pick up the phone!"

What really caught our attention, however, is the fact that Kesha refused to talk any trash about her friend Taylor Swift. That's a good friend! We want you in our friend squad, Kesha!

Kesha was asked about controversies surrounding Taylor's Reputation release. Of course, a lot of other celebrities threw shade at Taylor after the first single, "Look What You Made Me Do," was released, as they wondered who the song's lyrics were about.

Kesha's response to the question? She played it totally cool. "I'm not really up on my pop culture," she said. "Should I know something about it? I live in my record player."

Kesha's Rolling Stone cover story is worth a read, by the way. Kesha opens up about her lawsuit against Dr. Luke, her struggles with an eating disorder, and she spoke about the difficulty associated with returning the music scene.
