"Filthy" should be played "very loud," Justin says

January 3, 2018

It's official! This week is getting even better. Justin Timberlake will be releasing a new single on Friday (January 5).

Timberlake announced plans for his new album, titled Man of the Woods, yesterday, but the 36-year-old superstar today he took to Twitter to drop some details about the album's first single:

So it's safe to assume that the first single from Man of the Woods, will be titled "Filthy." "This song should be played very loud," the image reads.

“Filthy” was co-written and co-produced by JT, Timbaland, and Danja. We're hearing that the music video for "Fetish" is very "dance heavy," and it features JT "as a modern day inventor presenting his latest creation to the world.”

What does JT mean when he says "1 of 4" in the tweet?

Timberlake will release three additional music videos each week as he gears up for the album's release on February 2. Each video will have its own style. The next song (and video) will drop on January 18.

Meanwhile, the release of Man of the Woods will coincide with JT's highly-anticipated performance at this year's Super Bowl halftime show, which will take place two days after the album drops.

Timberlake's short teaser video for the album discussed how personal the project was for him.

"This album is really inspired by my son, my wife, my family, but more so than any other album I’ve written, where I’m from,” he says in the video.

"Filthy" will be JT's first single since the smash hit "Can't Stop The Feeling" was released in 2016.
