Why: Colon cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death in men and women combined in the United States. In 2017, nearly 4,000 people in the state of Georgia are expected to be diagnosed and over 1,500 people will die from this highly treatable disease.
Funds raised from the 2017 Atlanta Run/Walk will remain in the city with Colon Cancer Alliance’s Blue Hope Partner, Northside Hospital Cancer Institute. Blue Hope Partners are making strides to knock colorectal cancer out of the top three cancer killers by: promoting access to screening, conducting innovative research, and connecting patients to treatment. Schedule:
7:30 a.m. - Race packet pickup & on-site registration
8:40 a.m. - Opening remarks
9:00 a.m. - 5K begins
9:10 a.m. - 1 Mile fun run begins
10:05 a.m. - Survivor recognition & awards ceremony

Registration Fees:
5K Adult (14 and older) - $35 Advance/ $40 Race Day
5K Youth (6-13) - $30 Advance / $35 Race Day
1 Mile fun run (all ages, Children 5 and younger are free) - $30 Advance / $35 Race Day
Virtual Participant - $35 Adult / $30 Youth

All Registration Types Include:
• A pair of 2017 Boxer shorts
• Survivor t-shirt if registered as a survivor
• Survivor medal if registered as a survivor
• Access to our online fundraising platform
